Director, Business Development, International Institutions, Office of Strategic GrowthOverview:The Mastercard Public Sector team is a global team residing within the Office of Strategic Growth that works directly with public and private partners to help enable change through our products, services, expertise, and platforms. Professionally, we come from diverse backgrounds and professional experiences including: business development, marketing, product, mobility & transit, consulting, government, technology and payments. Personally, we care about the mission of the public sector, and we want our clients to succeed, by doing well by doing good.Governments and their stakeholders play a vital role in how we manage our day-to-day lives. As such, we are seeking creative and driven individuals who are looking to help pioneer new frontiers and drive positive change in the public sector space.The mandate of the International Institutions group is to build durable and trusted relationships with key multilateral development banks and other NGO organizations. We drive relevance and revenues by developing effective go-to-market campaigns supported by clear priorities, success metrics, and incentives. We guide the transition from reactive solutions sales to strategic government engagement programs. And we ensure alignment between regional demand and our global solutions.The International Institutions Business Development (BD) Director role focuses on aligning Mastercard’s product, service, and ecosystem capabilities to solve for the challenges government clients face today in the areas of financial inclusion, payment ecosystems design & development, and card programs.Role:

As Director, BD for International Institutions (I.I.s), you will support efforts to commercialize Mastercard’s products and services within the I.I. ecosystem, that includes multilateral development banks, NGOs, and other key partners that interact within the Public-Private Partnership model. More specifically, you will:Support MA’s position within the I.I. space, from policy and regulatory responsibilities to opportunities to support their missions, digitize government services, and expand financial inclusion efforts.Jointly define and align with other relevant partners on the governance and operating model as to how we engage these entities in policy/regulatory, philanthropic, and commercial areas.Assess market demand globally, channel market needs to appropriate global based product and services managers, and support efforts to commercialize our products and services.Participate and contribute to overall regional BD public sector support where I.I.s intersect with Regional and/or Divisional President priorities.Secure the continued focus of public sector commercialization efforts, bring relevant product and services management functions to the market, and accelerate the rapid refinement and commercialization of our products and services.Support the I.I. GTM commercialization strategy globally, which should be integrated with the priority regions, Division, and country strategies; and reflect/support global public sector priorities.All About You:

Has supported a GTM commercialization strategy globally, with elements of both near term and longer-term planning.Brings a good understanding of card payments and data services.Brings experience taking market demand feedback to help customize products and services, customizing local content as necessary to address market needs.Adept at navigating matrixed product & service and market development teams to respond to public sector market demands and needs; can effectively document business requirements and translate them into value propositions.Ability to identify and develop local partnerships to help accelerate the delivery of commercialization efforts.Strong business development skills with exceptional relationship management expertise.Ability to interpret macro-economic and demographic trends, craft research, and validate processes that support the selection of features and functions that enable commercialization opportunities.Strong desktop research skills, with the ability to take disparate data points, create narratives, and build decks.A business/technical background within the payments and financial services industries would be a plus.Strong understanding and work experience with multi-lateral development banks a significant plus.Corporate Security Responsibility
