This position is a recognized company authority who provides expert complex legal services for one or more departments. This person may be responsible for the operation of a certain legal department and may participate in committees or advise on business decisions. A subject matter authority.Responsibilities:

May work closely with business unit leaders.May participate in industry and professional groups on behalf of the company.Prepares or advises on complex legal documents or briefs such as: leases, licenses, purchase or sales agreements, employment contracts, litigation pleadings, insurance contracts or other company legal documents.Plans, conducts and supervises legal assignments which may have a major bearing on the conduct of the company’s business.May conduct or participate in major and unique company litigation.May communicate directly with regulators on behalf of the company.Participates in the development and interpretation of departmental policies.Works closely with top management advising on changes in laws and regulations. Evaluates the impact on the company and may develop the company’s position on the changes.Retains and directs outside counsel.May supervise lower level attorney(s).Required Qualifications:

JD degree required.State bar admission.Minimum of 8-11 years of experience.Preferred Qualifications:
