Your job will involve ownership of complex and/or multiple product areas within Collector’s portfolio. This includes understanding the market and customer, contributing to a product vision, developing business cases, and driving the creation and delivery of the product.The Zone

The Practice Management Zone supports key client-facing workflows and core technical components that include creation and management of patient records, key pre-live and post workflows such as enrollment, configuration, contract management, and financial reporting. We are a passionate group of product, engineering, UX, and analytics professionals driven to maximize revenue cycle efficiency and effectiveness for our athenaCollector clients.This hybrid position is based in Boston, MA.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Product Manager to help guide product discovery, development, and delivery to improve the effectiveness of patient record creation and management in a system that helps create tens of thousands of patient records per day and manage millions of existing patient records per day.You are passionate about problem-solving and always take a customer-centric approach. You know how to energize cross-functional teams around a problem and use data to identify and prioritize solutions. You push and strive toward the best long-term solution while executing against that plan day-to-day. You can make the tough trade-off decisions between scope and schedule while maintaining true focus on outcomes.You demonstrate extensive experience with product and software design, development, and deployment; including ensuring the team has a right mix of skills and leveraging the strengths of the individual team members.Job Responsibilities

Serve as Product Owner for scrum teams covering an assigned product area.Drive ongoing backlog allocations and prioritization of customer jobs to solve within your area of responsibility.Define epics and user stories, clearly articulating business requirements for the problems we’re trying to solve - including UX/CX/Support requirements.Drive alignment across various functions (UX/Eng/Product Analytics) via effective collaboration.Partner with Product Management leaders to drive portfolio and product strategy.Drive vision for your product area; develop and curate roadmaps.Understand the market opportunity via user needs, market forces, and applicable business models; with regards to what would best serve our clients today as well as in the future.Identify and track metrics and success criteria to create transparency and visibility to program success and opportunities for improvement; requesting analyses to inform backlog.Partner with Product Management leaders to be the voice of product decisions within the organization.Engage with Sales, CSMs, Product Marketing, and other internal partner teams as needed to determine best ways to communicate product to customers; and to assist Product Management leadership with service descriptions.Contribute to the development of the overall product management team by lending your knowledge and experience to teach others what you know.Typical Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required.7+ years overall professional experience, inclusive of a minimum of 4-6 years of product management experience.Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development.Understanding of healthcare / health IT environment a plus.Experience testing and validating the value of products in the market.Demonstrated success at driving vision and prioritization of products in a dynamic environment using analytic and quantitative capabilities.Ability to explain your positioning to various people around the company in an effective way.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially with senior leaders and customers.About Athenahealth
