The work is challenging, but highly rewarding.Nextera’s next-generation autonomous mobile robots and robotic arms are being deployed in a variety of environments – from warehouses to production floors, to construction sites.Responsibilities:Design and prototype custom parts and modules for our robotsCalculate and optimize mechanical propertiesExperiment with different materialsDesign and optimize manufacturing processesLead the prototyping and assembling of a fleet of mobile robotsAssist deployment and support teams.You will work back-to-back with our world-class software engineers in Boston to bring the products to life. You will experiment with various approaches and components available on the market to achieve the best balance of accuracy, development time, and manufacturing costs.Requirements:5+ years full-time experienceGood working knowledge of mechanical design, proven experience with Fusion 360 (preferable) or SolidworksHands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools including CNC mills, 3D printers, laser cutters, and manual tools.Impressive portfolio of completed projects from past jobs, co-ops, internships, or project-based classes.Excellent time management skillsAbout Nextera Robotics
