Priceline is looking for an inquisitive and energetic attorney to join our team as Litigation & Employment Counsel to help manage our global litigation and employment matters.This exciting role as a member of Priceline’s dynamic legal team will involve day to day management of litigation and employment matters across both companies, reporting into Priceline’s Vice President, Associate General Counsel & Compliance Officer. This role requires an attorney who is highly strategic, collaborative and analytical, and who possesses a strong passion for litigation and employment law. The ideal candidate will be business-focused and work exceptionally well with partners throughout the organization and with, as applicable, our parent company and sister brands.In this role you will get to:

Support the VP Legal, Associate General Counsel & Compliance Officer in Norwalk, CT or in New York, NY on managing day to day global employment law matters and a wide-ranging litigation docket.Collaborate with our business partners and People & Culture team to support the legal needs of our workforce around the world and provide timely employment law advice.Build relationships with your peer counsels at our sister brands and holding company, and support our team approach to providing first rate legal support to our business teams.In coordination with our P&C Team, build and deliver training to internal partners on a variety of employment legal topics.Assure company compliance with international, federal, state, and local labor and employment laws.Advise on litigation risk and act strategically to prevent costly litigation.Lead all aspects of company’s response to various litigation and administrative proceedings, including as related to contract disputes, intellectual property, labor & employment and other issues; coordinate strategy and approach with our sister brands and parent company, as applicable.Collaborate with our parent company and sister brands on cross-brand employment and litigation matters.Coordinate and orchestrate all formal and informal discovery necessary for litigation, subpoenas and formal requests for information.Manage and instruct outside counsels (litigation, labor or immigration specialists) in various jurisdictions and negotiate directly across the table when outside counsel is not engaged, as applicable.Who you are:

Hold a J.D. from a nationally or internationally-recognized law school.Have a minimum of 2-5 years of legal experience as a qualified attorney, law firm experience required, and preferably some in-house experience.Employment law experience and knowledge required.Litigation experience preferred.Prior experience working directly with partners throughout an organization.Highly strategic and analytical with strong ability to issue-spot, assess and communicate risks, make common-sense decisions in the face of ambiguity, and find flexible/creative solutions to achieve business goals.Ability to balance multiple matters simultaneously and to respond quickly to shifting priorities.Highly motivated and inventive with the ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced environment.Excellent judgment, high integrity, and strong verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a “can-do” attitude.Flexibility and openness to taking on tasks in new or unfamiliar areas of the law.Adept at adjusting communication styles and reading the room to adjust your approach when leading a cross-departmental project or matter.Strong writing and editing skills and solid social skills.The Right Results, the Right Way is not just a motto at Priceline; it’s a way of life.
