DESCRIPTIONWorking under general supervision, the incumbent performs routine to complex radiographic and fluoroscopic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment throughout General Diagnostic Radiology, in accordance with established guidelines and protocols. Requires advanced knowledge of radiologic technology. Acts as a Diagnostic subject matter expert and assists other technologists as needed. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety.Prepares and positions patients for procedures by using established protocols to achieve the highest quality images. Follows protocols specified by the Radiologist. Enters complex data into the computer system. Reviews, verifies, and evaluates images and radiographs to ensure technical quality and image quality. Ensures compliance with related policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines. Demonstrates effective communication and conflict resolution techniques with patients, coworkers, physicians, and all other healthcare members. Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSRecent graduate of a school of radiologic technology.California Radiology Technologist - Radiography (CRT-R).California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).Registered Technologist for Radiography issued by ARRT (R.T(R)(ARRT)).BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.At least 18 months of recent experience in a similar role and setting.Must possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.Thorough understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSBilingual in English and Spanish.Experience in a similar clinical role and setting.SPECIAL CONDITIONSMust be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.Pay Transparency ActAnnual Full Pay Range: $113,483 - $113,483 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).Hourly Equivalent: $54.35 - $54.35.Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
