Join the industry leader in Network and Telecommunications Services as we embark on transforming our nation's critical communications infrastructure and the FAA's National Air Space (NAS) network.As a member of our FAA Enterprise Network Services (FENS) team, you will bring your passion, education and experience to this critical mission and interact directly with decision-makers and government staff who are tasked with ensuring the nation's air transportation system's underlying communications infrastructure is secure and always available. We are hiring skilled and energetic candidates to work alongside the best and brightest employees on a long-term career opportunity to design, build and operate the next generation NAS network supporting the busiest, most complex aerospace system in the world.This is a key role within the PMO leadership team which will concentrate on:Serving as Deputy Program Manager and Key Personnel leader within the FENS program. Assumes PM role and duties supporting Program Director as 2nd in charge as needed and directed.Setting direction and driving cross-functional teams to meet contractual obligations, schedule and budget milestones and standards of quality for CDRLs supporting Program Governance, Execution and Control.Communicating and interacting directly with the FENS program office to solve critical issues and challenges.Matrix management and oversight of corporate Centers of Excellence (COE) or VZ internal teams to meet performance standards and customer expectations:Order Management and ProvisioningStaging and LogisticsTelecommunications (Access & Transport)Network OperationsSecurity OperationsInformation Technology / SystemsField ServicesDeveloping and overseeing standardized, systematic approach to Risk Management across the FENS Program.Leading special projects as directed, needed and authorized, such as Service Improvement Plans (SIP), Emergency Communications preparation, or Process Improvement initiatives.What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experienceSix or more years of relevant work experienceSix or more years experience managing large, complex government programs in communications or IT servicesPMP CertificationThree or more years of supporting the federal governmentExperience using MS Office, MS Project and other productivity applications such as Google Office, an enterprise accounting system, teleconference system, and SharePointAbility to travel for up to approximately 35% of the timeAbility to obtain a US Public Trust clearanceEven better if you have one or more of the following:Tactical leadership to drive process definition and optimize execution activities to meet contract deliverables and expected levels of performance, quality and efficiency.Demonstrated ability to resolve complex contract issues, operational problems or financial anomalies by isolating the core issue, assembling options for resolution, and making decisions to address the concern.Strong written and verbal communicator capable of articulating needed actions to an audience with diverse professional backgrounds in-person and remotely.Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently to fulfill customer requirements.Direct FAA or Department of Transportation experience.LEAN and/or Six Sigma process improvement certification and/or experience.Demonstrated ability to manage and negotiate customer expectations and desired business outcomes in a collaborative manner that produces win-win, bottom-line results.Where you'll be working
