As a Backend Software Engineer on the TikTok Privacy team, you will:Design, build, and maintain systems that enhance privacy across TikTok;Work with engineering and product teams to ensure that TikTok is compliant with privacy laws and regulations from a technical perspective;Respond to privacy incidents, if they occur, including collecting information on scope and root cause as well as managing remediation.

QualificationsBS/MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors;Experienced in building backend services for large-scale consumer-facing applications;Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Java, Go, C++, Python;Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms;Good team communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:2 years of Industry experience developing and implementing privacy features and solutions.

Job Information:【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $137750 - $237500 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our company benefits are designed to convey company culture and values, to create an efficient and inspiring work environment, and to support our employees to give their best in both work and life.
