In other words, our superpower is transforming social capital into brand equity.The VP of Growth is a senior leadership role that directs and oversees the development of client relationships by building business acquisition strategies and growth initiatives. They are responsible for driving sales through existing client relationships, expanding market presence, and increasing revenue by evaluating new partners, industries, channels and customers.The VP of Growth also leads the growth marketing (ex. outbound) activities of the agency aligning our external presence with The Social Lights internal culture and offerings. They collaborate with the department leads to understand the landscape of social media, our products, and provide a robust plan to pursue recognition and brand awareness in our industry.This role requires travel 25% of the timeEssential Functions

The Vice President of Growth is focused on two primary areas to attract and retain clients.New Business

Partner with the Chief Growth Officer to spearhead and implement a business development strategy and marketing plan to achieve top line revenue goals as well as monitor and report progress against plan; ultimately helping The Social Lights stay accountable to quarterly and annual growth targets.Manage the inbound and outbound pipeline with an emphasis on outbound relationship and lead development.Establish long-term relationships with influential industry professionals, consultancies and key decision makers in target organizations.Collaborate with the Chief Growth Officer and Client Success team to develop organic growth strategies for current accounts and support identification of, and sales process for organic growth opportunities.Advise Senior Leadership Team on customer acquisition strategies.Own sales activities including authoring RFI/RFP responses, capabilities and pitch deck development, presentations, sales and marketing materials.Write and negotiate contracts and budgets in partnership with CGO and/or CEO.Collaborate with the Senior Leadership team on new product development and innovation.Manage Sales and Marketing tool ongoing optimizations, implementation and data/reporting; keeping the Senior Leadership Team informed and advising on key new business decisions.Marketing

Partner with the Chief Growth Officer create and implement the vision for growth marketing at The Social Lights.Own external communication such as owned social channels, email, website and event marketing.Lead the internal marketing team, external partner support and contributing members of the broader team, successfully activating robust and on-strategy marketing support that differentiates The Social Lights and creates new opportunities for the agency.Work with and lead relationships with external strategic partners supporting the Sales and Marketing disciplines to ensure our partners are set up for success and our investments are well-spent.Own CRM optimization, lead generation, capture, management and reporting.Contribute to thought leadership; authoring blog posts, ideating and directing content for our owned channels, presenting at events and conferences.Lead market research, industry trends and news reports and competitor analysis keeping the Senior Leadership Team up-to-date with any key developments and advising on opportunities as they arise.Identify and attend industry conferences, events, and networking functions to build relationships.Own events and award submissions.Lead the implementation of our brand tone/voice and design system.Integrate DEIB+A principles into marketing strategies and initiatives, fostering a diverse and inclusive brand image.Mentor internal marketing talent.Reporting Structure

Reports to Chief Growth Officer.Qualifications

15+ years of progressive agency, marketing and new business experience.Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written, and presentation.Experienced in both Keynote and PowerPoint.Demonstrated planning, forecasting, analytical, and research skills.CRM optimization and management.Hubspot experience preferred.Enthusiastic about social media marketing and the future of marketing as a whole.Well-organized, strong time management and prioritization skills.Proficient in the Adobe Suite, Google Suite, Asana, Microsoft Suite and Slack.Demonstrated attention to detail.Cross-Functional Collaboration with CSuite, SLT, internal departments, external partners, prospects, etc.Relationship management.Ability to travel frequently (1-3x per month).* This job description is not designed to cover or encompass a comprehensive listing of required activities, duties, or responsibilities.
