More than one million registered users across 2,000+ customers and partners access the world's most trusted platform for clinical development, commercial, and real-world data.Your Mission:Selling the company’s products and/or services to well-qualified prospects and existing customersAcquires new customers and sells additional products or services to existing ones.Deploys an effective strategy to connect and build relationships with new and existing contactsRequires application of in-depth technical knowledge of products, systems and services to educate prospects on the Medidata PlatformFollow up on Marketing-generated leadsMaintain thorough records of correspondence in SalesforceResearch pharmaceutical and biotech companies online, follow industry publications, and utilize third-party tools to identify new targets and selling opportunitiesIdentify and nurture opportunities within individual territoriesCoordinate product demonstrations with Solutions Consultants and with Solution Sales SpecialistsWork through Medidata MSA and SOW contracts with internal and prospect/customer’s legal councilsParticipate in company sponsored events and marketing campaigns designed to stimulate more brand and product awarenessAttain sales targetsManage all aspects of the account to ensure customer satisfactionPrepares activity and forecast reports as requested.Your Competencies:Knowledge of computer usage in a web-based environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSolid analytical and technical skillsExposure to formal sales methodologiesExcellent organizational and time management skillsSelf-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional mannerPrevious Software or complex sales experienceKnowledge of Clinical Development industrySalesforce or other CRM experienceLocation can be remote but West Coast based if possibleYour Education & Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in the Life Sciences, Business or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant experienceRequires a minimum of 3 years of previous inside sales and account management experience in a quota-carrying environmentSome travel to conferences and/or in-person internal and customer meetings may be requiredSalary & Benefits:The base salary pay range for this position is $60,000-80,000. Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses.
