In line with our commitment to excellence, we are looking for a senior engineering manager as the team leader to lead the ByteDance Global Edge Cloud Product Technology and Solution Team and build competitive edge cloud computing services for TikTok and ToB clients, accelerate product and technology innovation, improve the influence of edge cloud products and technology and ultimately improve customer satisfaction.As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll lead a group of software/system engineers. You'll provide technical leadership, build a robust team, and establish efficient processes, all the while focusing on top-quality engineering. Regular interaction with other teams and our users will be a key part of your role.ResponsibilitiesBe both a highly technical, and an effective people manager. Being able to lead the team to achieve breakthroughs and guide team members to improve their abilities;Be a subject matter expert in at least one specific domain (examples: product, infrastructure, cloud computing). Participate in technical design and drive roadmap creation and execution.Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.Measure the impact of your team and set clear expectations and goals. Partner with leadership to influence and drive organization design, contribution and prioritization.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsExperience in leading a large engineering team.Experience in developing and deploying large scale infrastructure systems.Strong sense of responsibility and good at communication and teamwork.Passionate about solving complex and challenging problems.Preferred QualificationsBS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.Management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager.Designing and developing large-scale Internet service architectures, distributed systems, storage systems or edge infrastructure.Troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems, scaling high performance, high throughput systems.ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.Our Company Benefits Are Designed To Convey Company Culture And Values, To Create An Efficient And Inspiring Work Environment, And To Support Our Employees To Give Their Best In Both Work And Life.
