This includes reaching out to Plan Sponsors (Employer Groups) within the assigned health plan contracts that Meru Health has established, to introduce Meru Health's innovative care approach. To accomplish this, you will build and strengthen relationships with the Health Plan's AE/Sales teams across the US and work with those teams to get in front of their employer groups and sell Meru Health's mental health solutions. In addition to the Plan Sponsors, this role also includes selling direct to employers by driving the sales lifecycle from lead generation to closing the deal.As a culture add, you approach personal and professional relationships from a place of care, curiosity, and open-mindedness.YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:Drive Sales and Revenue through health plan AE/Sales teams and Direct to Employer Opportunities.Identify, develop and strengthen relationships with Plan Sponsors and health plan AE/Sales teams within assigned health plan contracts.Develop strategic plans with the health plan AE/Sales team regarding their block of business.Deliver presentations to Plan Sponsors educating them on Meru Health's innovative approach.Lead the sales cycle from lead generation through closing the deal.Disciplined approach to managing CRM.Work closely with Client Success to ensure successful handoff of clients.Provide market feedback about product enhancements, market needs, pricing, etc.WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:Work experience needed:5+ years healthcare sales experience at a health plan and/or selling to health plans and employer groups.Deep understanding of the complexities of the benefits/health insurance space.Successful track record in healthcare sales.Experience working in digital health startups or growth companies.Skills needed:Alignment with our values and passion for our mission.Strong sales skills and commercial acumen.Strong communication and presentation skills.Analytical skills - make decisions based on data.Strong networking and negotiating skills.Storing closing skills.Knowledge, education, and/or training needed:BA or advanced degree preferred.MUST have strong sales experience in healthcare benefits.Strong technical knowledge of CRM / HubSpot and other commercial tools.WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:Drive net new employer group sales through Plan Sponsor and Direct to Employer opportunities.Achieving Sales/Revenue targets.Continued traction with expansion across health plan AE/Sales team geographies.At Meru Health, we don't just accept differences — we celebrate, support, and thrive on them as a source of human creativity and richness of life.
