Job Description
Agilent’s Cell Analysis division is a market leader in life science and drug discovery research. The Cell Analysis division consists of BioTek Instruments, Seahorse, and Acea’s Novocyte flow cytometers and xCelligence instruments. We are recognized globally for our innovative product lines and excellent customer service. Our global customers include academic, government, and biotech/pharmaceutical companies.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, results-oriented individual to join the Cell Analysis Sales Team as a Field Sales Representative. The ideal individual will possess an outstanding combination of scientific education and experience with microplate readers and imaging instrumentation.
Primary responsibilities of the Sales Representative role include:
Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota for your designated territory.Identify customers using supplied leads, local shows and account management techniques.Qualify all potential customers through needs analysis, budget and purchase authority.Perform demonstrations of instruments and software.Develop a thorough working knowledge of the instruments including design, functionality and operation.Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of typical instrument applications.Manage the assigned territory including record keeping and reporting, via Salesforce CRM.
QualificationsBachelors or Masters Degree in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or related degree, or related field experience.2 + years of academic or industrial experience using plate readers and microplate-based imaging systems, preferably in an HCS or HTS lab setting.Requirements include good knowledge of microplate readers and related assays (ELISA, FP, HTRF, FRET, AlphaScreen) and experience with widefield and/or confocal microscopy.Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including comfort with public speaking, as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
