Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst coordinates, performs, and oversees the budgeting and financial activities related to the department, including cost centers and departmental budgets as they relate to formal and informal departmental goals, standards, policies, and procedures. The Sr. Financial Analyst analyzes department financial data and develops complex reports for forecasting and results analysis. The Sr. Financial Analyst assists in financial studies and analysis regarding projected changes in revenues and expenditures.Skills:Strong interpersonal and communication skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple projects concurrentlyAbility to conceptualize and develop financial models for various projects, taking into account the impact on all JHM areasCommunication, presentation, and reporting skillsAbility to work with and get along with all types of employees (physicians, other clinical personnel, administrative/financial personnel, and central administration)Education:Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field. MBA preferred.Responsibilities:Coordinates and supports management’s annual operating and capital budgetPerforms duties in support of producing productivity reports and performance improvementSupports the finance leadership in analyzing hospital results of operations and financial position and recommending areas of improvementGenerates routine financial and statistics reportsAnalyzes actual performance; compares it with established budgets, plans, and standards; reports and interprets the results for all levels of managementFacilitates timely communication of financial reports from Finance to all levels of managementPerforms statistical and financial analysis of data extracted from various internal sourcesPerforms special projects and duties as assigned, including research, forecasting, and exploring viable alternativesMaintains database of hospital utilization statistics for labor and data mining purposesRequired Licensure Certification:

CPA preferred.Work Experience:Requires a minimum of five years of experience in finance, preferably in a healthcare setting.
