ARA is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our team within our Intel Community. You will be responsible for designing and building data pipelines using Python and AWS cloud infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of software development and data engineering principles and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You must have a passion for building high-quality, scalable applications and the ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Data Engineer (Python Developer) Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement software features using Python and best practicesWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented codeUtilize unit testing frameworks to ensure code quality and functionalityDevelop and deploy data pipelines using Python and AWS services (e.g., Flask, S3, EC2, Lambda)Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutionsAutomate data processing tasks and workflowsTroubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issuesCollaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data accessibilityStay up-to-date on the latest data engineering tools and technologies
Data Engineer (Python Developer) Qualifications
US Citizenship required and must have an active TS clearance with SCI eligibilityBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Python Software Developer, or similar role OR 8-10 years of related experience in lieu of a degreeStrong understanding of object-oriented programming principles (OOP)Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)Experience with Python programming for data manipulation and analysisExperience with SQL and proficiency in writing complex queriesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a team
Ways To Stand Out
Experience with popular Python web frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask)Familiarity with web development concepts (HTTP, REST APIs)
