The Senior Data Scientist reports to the Principal Data Scientist and is responsible for expanding the depth and effectiveness of RichRelevance algorithms and product functionality. This role includes setting research directions, prototyping, and producing both internal and customer-facing analyses.Work with product management, account managers, customers, and executives to identify specific product requirements and KPIs.Translate high-level requests, problems, and goals into specific analysis action plans.Evaluate current state of the art as well as consider novel algorithmic solutions to product requirements; evaluate applicability of those solutions.Prototyping, including but not limited to Python, R, Hive and Pig; additionally, experience with developing production-quality software is a major plus.Work with product management and engineering to scope, and test production implementations.Provide data analysis to satisfy internal and client needs, owning every step from initial discovery and scoping, to presenting results to management.Company:

MS, PhD or equivalent in Statistics, Applied Math, Machine Learning or a related field.5+ years experience in predictive analytics, machine learning, or data analysis, preferably in a retail or e-commerce setting. That experience should include applying advanced analytical techniques to large data sets (many millions of rows).5+ years experience in writing data analytic or scientific code, whether for software development, prototyping or data analysis.Strong breadth of knowledge of statistical and machine learning approaches to a variety of prediction and classification problems, such as multivariate regression, generalized linear models, neural networks, support vector machines, decision trees, model ensemble methods, clustering techniques, time series, etc.Deep knowledge of experimental design, as well as visual presentation of data analysis results.Familiarity with a sufficient range of tools to work a problem from beginning to end, including data manipulation (Hadoop tools such as Pig and Hive; SQL; or Postgres) and scientific programming (Python, R, Matlab).Excellent written and oral communication skills.Educational level:
