Senior Frontend Web EngineerLocation:
This is a hybrid role based 3-days/week out of our NYC (Soho) office.Responsibilities
Be a leader in the codebase - a stack that includes React, GraphQL, Next.js, Storybook, Tailwind, and Emotion.Work closely with our product and design team to translate wireframes and prototypes into rich user experiences.Use a product-driven approach to development, thinking critically about the product strategy and ways to implement it efficiently.Collaborate directly with the Head of Engineering to make architectural decisions and improvements to the development experience.Write automated tests to ensure the quality and stability of our codebase.Optimize web applications for maximum speed and scalability.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to other engineers.Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in front-end development.Candidate Requirements
5+ years of experience in front-end web development.Passion for writing beautiful code and deep thinking about how users interact with your code.Senior level proficiency in JavaScript, React, Next.js, and Typescript.Strong understanding of User Experience Engineering - experience with CSS frameworks (we use Tailwind), CSS animations, and best practice Single Page Application design a plus.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc.).Nice-to-haves
Has an example of a beautiful web app or site they’ve worked on that they can display.Compensation:
$160,000 - $200,000 base + equity.
