Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a Project Controls Analyst to support our Water Resources Business Line in Sacramento, California. You'll be able to provide financial support to critical engineering projects throughout the region. The successful candidate will be able to communicate well, have an eye for detail, think critically, solve problems, and apply their knowledge and skills in an effective manner. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of engineering project managers and professionals who will partner with you as you continue to grow and develop in your professional career.Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:Working with the company financial and cornerstone systems and processes.Applying financial terminology, measures, financial data analysis concepts and principles in assignments.Recognizing processes/project actions that may lead to project financial impact.Developing and maintaining WBS for small projects.Assisting in the use of drawings and specifications in the establishment of project baseline data.Beginning basic analysis of cost and schedule variances.Developing knowledge of accounting principles.Assisting in assembling data for trending and forecasting.Understanding progress/performance data and associated concepts and principles.Participating in the collection of progress data and review of performance trends.Being familiar with earned value, scope control and change management concepts, principles and methodologies.Collecting data and producing an initial analysis on manpower, labor hour, and labor cost requirements versus budget limitations.Collecting and analyzing data for tracking actual cost to funding limitations.Providing support to tracking purchase order and subcontract commitments and expenditures.Being familiar with the concepts and principles of project revenue and cost.Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts; performance management and cost/schedule integration concepts and principles.Developing knowledge of scope control and change management.Supporting project reporting process as required.Participating in project cost review meetings.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:+ Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Qualifications:+ 2+ years of work experience within project controls, finance, or accountingAdditional Information+ Offered rate of compensation in Sacramento, CA will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
