Senior to Principal-level Civil Roadway & Highway Engineer.What You'll Be Doing:Responsible for the technical excellence of the engineering functions of the projects including coordination of technical disciplines and development of project alternatives, and preliminary and final design.Provided technical direction, design leadership, and mentoring junior engineers on roadway design projects for local and state agencies.Prepare design and construction documents, develop horizontal/vertical geometric designs, execute superelevation computations, develop plan and profile sheets and cross-sections, develop public hearing display boards, provide design exception and waiver documentation, cost estimates, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) documents.Coordinate with project team and interdisciplinary technical personnel.Assist the project manager in completing the project deliverables.Ensure project is adhering to client criteria and scope.Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation of activity for the client and project manager.Assist in obtaining, analyzing, and circulating technical and contractual information to project disciplines.May be responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of projects to meet project goals and objectives.Assist functional managers to identify company resources, through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries, to create project teams capable of completing effective, quality work.Assist in identifying new project pursuits, gather intelligence regarding these pursuits, participate in Parsons’ pursuit process, and may lead response to client requests for
proposals/qualifications.What Required Skills & Qualifications You'll Bring:4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).8 years or more of related work experience.Professional Engineer registration is required.Experience with NCDOT is required.Potential to perform in a lead capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a familiarity of industry practices and regulations are required.Must be proficient with MicroStation v8i and Geopak, Civil3D and ORD (Open Roads Designer) skills preferred as well.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/None. This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
