This firm has been consistently named as one of Atlanta's best places to work and offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits plan to include 4 weeks vacation, flexible Friday hours and a hybrid work schedule!Responsibilities:Performs technical tax review and governmental tax examinations as deemed by Manager and Senior Manager.Preparation of federal, state, and local income tax returns and information filings.Acts as a resource for tax associates and Business Assurance team members on specific tax issues and/or questions.Ensuring all federal and state income tax returns are prepared timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws.Possess a complete knowledge of the firm’s philosophy and its opinions on tax matters.Communicate effectively with clients and meet critical deadlines.Participates actively in client meetings and tax planning efforts.Assists the Business Assurance (Audit) Department with larger clients when deemed necessary.Requirements:2 – 4 years’ experience preparing corporate, partnership, individual, and fiduciary income tax returns in a public accounting firm.Minimum one (1) year experience supervising and directing work of tax preparers.Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent required, with a master’s degree in taxation preferred.Current CPA license highly preferred.Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products.Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx Tax or other tax automation/workflow software is preferred.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.For immediate consideration, please submit your resume in confidence to Joanmarie Bolding, Managing Director of Recruiting at jmb@stafffinancial.com.
