Prior experience with P.R. and Social MediaPreferably a Journalism background or media trainingFlawless written and spoken EnglishThe ability to write PR’s and distribute themGreat professional relationships with writers, journalists, bloggers and other influencersThe ability to secure media coverage for clientsA profound understanding of online communities as well as content marketingExperience with services like HARO and MuckRackPublished & placed content on authoritative sitesGreat interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, decision-making, and conflict resolution skillsThe ability to stay highly organized with great attention to detailThe ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretionThe availability to work 40 hours per week from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm PSTPassion to build a startupA friendly, outgoing dispositionA reliable workstation with a fast computer, microphone and speakers, reliable internet and power if working remotelyYOUR DUTIES AND TASKS:
As a PR specialist, you will write press releasesKeep and organize PR databaseRespond to information requests from the media if neededLiaise between client and mediaAnalyze various niches and verticals (as well as competition within them)Scrutinize clients’ websites and identify linkable assetsDevelop custom PR strategies and tactics (based on analysis) for maximum efficiencyLocate and vet viable link prospects and opportunitiesCraft compelling outreachKeep outreach conversations fresh through regular follow-upsEngage and interact via social mediaPotentially represent clients’ companies onlineOrganize and maintain multi-faceted campaignsHelp maintain the organization’s corporate image or brandWe are looking for talented and diligent candidates who excel in our skills tests, and will consider these candidates even if past experience or educational background criteria aren't met.
Starting base pay in the US states of California, New York, Washington and Colorado for this position ranges between $15 - $35 per hour.
