Senior Registered Nurse – ICU

Qualifications:
Requires two (2) years of full-time professional registered nursing experience including two (2) years of full-time experience in ICU.
Must possess and maintain a current, valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.
Must possess a current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification by the first day of employment.
Must possess a current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Must obtain a Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification within 6 months of hire.
Responsibilities:
Executes nursing processes including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans, adjusting as necessary.
Administers nursing care aligning with hospital policies and Patient Bill of Rights.
Guides others in complex patient issues. Conducts patient and staff education, coordinates programs, and engages in hospital committees.
Identifies and addresses deficiencies in practices or equipment.
Leads performance improvement initiatives and problem-solving. Facilitates patient care conferences and acts as a preceptor for new nurses. Additional duties as needed.
