GDIT is supporting a U.S. Government customer on a large mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment, including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. GDIT is seeking a Software Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities.Responsibilities:HOW A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTAssists with the technical design for architecture, responsible for overall code quality ensuring a highly available and recoverable environment.Assist with the design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy business rules and technical solutions.Develop custom integration components and integrate legacy systems with platform using mid-server and other relevant technologies.Document, maintain and update policies, procedures and controls for the platform operation and software development life cycle while promoting agile development.Required Skills:HOW YOU WILL SUCCEEDU.S. Citizenship required.Active Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.6+ years of directly relevant experience.Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD Pipelines, and cloud orchestration.Enterprise and/or IT Service Management.Experience with gathering requirements, database design schemas, and data modeling.Ability to create CI/CD Pipelines that substantially increased effectiveness and efficiency of Agile practice for programs using Agile/DevOps based metrics visualizations and dashboards.Ability to design and develop metrics.Minimum 2+ Years of experience with IaC, Pipelines, and/or Orchestration.Experience with process and solution integration, workflow design/configuration, and reporting.Desired Skills:Experience and/or familiarity with DevOps, DevSecOps, and Continuous Development / Continuous Integration concepts, and tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes, NiFi, AWS, JIRA, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Junit, JMeter and/or Cucumber.Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques and associated mitigation techniques.Required Education:
BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, OR Computer Systems Engineering.
