Description

We are looking to add a

Sales Coordinator

who will be responsible for revenue production for the hotel, and meeting or exceeding planned revenue objectives for occupancy and average daily rate. You will manage all areas of sales according to Island Hospitality Management and Brand Standards to achieve a professional rapport within the local business community. Our Sales Coordinator assists with promotional materials, and administrative duties and is in constant contact with the hotel General Manager and Director of Sales.

This position may require flexible scheduling availability.

Involved in community and/or government affairs to ensure effective marketing of the hotelDemonstrate commitment to guest service by responding to guest needsDevelop and implement marketing and sales plans based on demand segments and to maximize REVPAR and Market Share Understand why competitors are successful in each demand segment and directly market/sell against the competitionKnow key accounts and actively "sells" through sales calls, property tours, strategic marketing, etc.Entering Rooming Lists for group arrivalsCoordinating billing for groups and eventsPrepare required reports for the management teamMaintain vendor and client information where necessary Collaborate with Front Office Team to ensure the details of the group and special corporate directives are executive properly and you are striving to achieve the same goalsJob Qualifications:

Previous Hotel experience required; minimum of two years preferredPerfect for a front desk agent or supervisor wanting to transition to salesHyatt experience a plus"Hands-On" team member who is actively involved on a daily basisAbility to drive outside sales callsHighly motivated team player with strong initiative and desire for achievementMust be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessaryAbility to work well in stressful situationsReadily available and approachable for all guests while providing excellent guest serviceThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The number of hours you will be scheduled to work during the week is variable and is based on guest occupancy, season, staffing and other factors. Island Hospitality is unable to guarantee a specific number of work hours per week.
