Qualifications

Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positionsHigh school degree or GED requiredA significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the positionMust have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel as neededPerform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbsMust be able to stand, sit, walk for extended periods of timeReach and grasp using arms, hands, and fingersMust be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situationsMust be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculatorMust be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessaryMust be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by managementMust be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles, and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilitiesMust be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendanceMust be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled private office with minimal noiseMental and/or Emotional Requirements

Responsible for assisting the branch sales manager (BSM) in the overall management of the branch – may step in for BSM in their absenceAssist BSM to ensure established policies and procedures are followedOversees provision of a full range of services to members and prospective membersEnsures members are promptly and professionally servedTrains, directs, and supervises branch staff, while maintaining a professional, cohesive working environment20% Assist the BSM with managing direct reports to maximize productivity, efficiency, and the potential of the branch personnel of the credit unionAssist the BSM in directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies, and work rulesAssists with appraising performance and provides recommendations for staff promotion and termination, as appropriateProvides leadership and development20% Acts as a loan liaison, between member and centralized underwriting departmentEnsures loan requests are within established policies, limits, and loaded properly before loan approvalResponsible for proper documentation and fundingEnsures that branch achieves assigned loan production goalDemonstrates sales skills and abilities15% Assist BSM to ensure branch personnel are well trained in all phases of their respective jobsAssists in onboarding training of new employees in overall branch proceduresActively participates in cross-training personnel and assures staff is kept abreast of all products and servicesConducts security training15% Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each dayServicing ATMs as requiredOversees individual accountability for the handling of cash and assists in resolving balancing problems10% Ensures members’ requests and questions are promptly resolvedHandles member complaintsEnsures members are informed of credit union services and policiesCounsels members regarding their financial needs and services requested10% Troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquiries5% Maintain communications with RSM and BrOps management team5% Performs other duties as assignedMust comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets ControlBenefits
