Salary range:The salary range for this position is $51,300/annually ($24.57/hourly) to $181,800/annually ($87.07/hourly). The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. Off scale salaries (i.e. salaries that are higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated rank and step) are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.Application Window

The University of California, Irvine Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics (DEB) invites applications from candidates who are interested in joining the department as a Research Specialist. Rank/Level and Salary will be determined based on previous work experience and educational background.Candidates must hold an M.S. or Ph.D. or a similar degree in Epidemiology or Biostatistics or a related field. Candidates must have a strong research background in the diverse research areas that the DEB faculty focus on.The incumbent is expected to work independently with occasional supervision (depending on level).Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking and initiative are required.Ideal candidate(s) will have experience in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, statistics, computer science, bioinformatics, or computational biology.TO APPLY: Please log onto UCI's RECRUIT website located at:
