The Dawson County Attorney’s Office in Lexington, Nebraska, is seeking applications for
TWO full-time Deputy County Attorney positions . Interested persons must be licensed to practice law in the State of Nebraska. This position provides regular courtroom/trial experience and the opportunity to work closely with a group of seasoned attorneys. Primary duties will include criminal prosecution of adult felony and misdemeanor cases. Additional duties include covering assigned on-call periods to answer after-hours legal questions from law enforcement and handle coroner matters. Starting salary is $80,000 to $90,000; negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. Nebraska Bar Association dues and expenses to obtain required annual continuing legal education hours are paid by the county. This employment qualifies you to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program to assist with student loan repayment. A county benefit package, including paid holidays, graduated PTO, employee health insurance, and retirement plan, is also provided. Send resumes to
