Position Overview
Graphic Designer will design web pages, advertisements, and other communication materials as needed. Graphic Designer is a motivated self-starter who is passionate about the development, design, and production of our marketing materials.
Essential Job Functions
Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; and purchasing from vendors.Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturers instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; and evaluating new equipment.Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential Requirements
Strong graphic design, layout, and analytical skills.Have a great sense of direction and high attention to detail.Passionate about designing web pages, advertisements, and communication materials.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely (written, oral and presentation skills).Computer proficiency including desktop publishing tools and graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar application.Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.Ability to work under pressure and handle rejection.Must be able to meet assigned deadlines.English is a must and Chinese a plus.Other Requirements
Domestic and/or International Travel required up to 25%.Willing and able to work additional hours when needed.Bend, lift, open and move product and related office items varying in weight up to 30lbs.EDUCATION
Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Graphic Design or related field.3+ Years of Professional Experience in Graphic Design or related areas.Strong working knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or similar application.Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other basic computer programs.Experience in CCTV Video Surveillance industry is highly desired.
