One of our primary areas of focus is in streamlining and evolving our overall approach to Marketing Capabilities, by establishing dedicated owners to bridge the gap between our marketing stakeholders and our technology and platform teams. While these capabilities have existed previously, they’ve been decentralized in terms of utilization and support. As a result, there are significant opportunities to improve efficiency by establishing comprehensive strategies, standards and governance, and resourcing and support prioritization in alignment with broader strategic objectives.Marketing Technology Capabilities, Digital Product Management, Sr Manager

will primarily support Schwab’s Distributed Communications program – the ability to enable a wide range of stakeholders to send various 1:1 and 1:many communications across a wide range of topics, audiences, and business needs. This role, in coordination with the Program Manager, will work within a matrixed organization of marketing stakeholders, product, and technology owners, and more to achieve the shared objectives of streamlining our overall communication architecture while also driving increased scale and efficiency.We’re seeking a capable product manager to unite key stakeholders around a cohesive strategy, develop a comprehensive capability roadmap built around clear outcomes, and then partner with the necessary teams to execute this plan. While this role is within our marketing organization, we’re seeking a candidate with direct digital product management experience who is as equally comfortable talking directly with scrum teams and technical audiences as they are marketers focused on meeting the needs of our customers.Responsibilities

Ensure our technology ecosystem can support the strategic objectives and use cases identified by the Distributed Communications program manager.Evaluates existing technology, processes, and operating models to identify and capitalize on opportunities for optimization and improvement.Advocates for holistic approaches to marketing capability solutions with a focus on automation, scale, and efficiency.Provides the bridge between the business and/or marketing stakeholders and the platform and technology teams supporting that program, ensuring priorities are clearly aligned across all stakeholders.In partnership with Product Owners, understands how platform features, capabilities and enhancements may benefit business and marketing stakeholders, and identifies opportunities for piloting and long-term adoption of both new and existing features.Understands business objectives, and supports translating those objectives into detailed use cases, business requirements, and provides all other documentation and input required by technology partners.Participates in Agile ceremonies including standups, demos, PI planning, and more to ensure appropriate prioritization and support of development needs.Participates in product roadmap discussions and long-term product and program planning.Supports the development of documentation, training, best practices, and other resources to increase overall adoption and efficiency of the broader team.Supports the broader Marketing Technology organization and portfolio management as needed.This is a hybrid position, working a hybrid schedule in one of our office locations.What you have

Required Qualifications

To ensure that we fulfill our promise of “challenging the status quo,” this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have:6+ years of full-time work experience with product management, preferably within a large organization.Experience in developing and executing product strategies and roadmaps, business cases, and other product development responsibilities.Experience working within agile frameworks, and utilizing associated tools and software (Atlassian/JIRA).Experience with digital communications spanning a range of needs: marketing, service, regulatory, etc.Familiarity with industry-leading communications and platforms preferred: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Marketo, PageFlex, OpenText.Preferred Qualifications

Strong creative-problem solving abilities, process optimization, and ideation when dealing with complex digital ecosystems.Dynamic relationship, partnership, and collaborative skills; a strong teammate with experience working with others to champion initiatives across multiple departments.Strong project management skills, including diligence, high sense of responsibility, and the ability to work efficiently, independently, and proactively.High degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity, motivated to get results while operating autonomously in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective presentations and communications tailored to specific audiences spanning a range of technical, marketing, and strategic backgrounds.In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.What’s in it for you
