Job Description:
Former IRS-Criminal Investigation Special Agents are being sought to provide On-the-Job Instructor services to IRS-CI Special Agents in the area of complex financial investigations, with particular focus on Title 26 tax cases. Training will be provided at various IRS-CI office locations throughout the country. The OJIs will be responsible for guiding and mentoring trainees, maintaining a detailed training record, and ensuring that the trainees successfully complete all aspects of a structured training program in a satisfactory and timely manner.
Qualifications:
The candidates for this position must meet the following requirements:
Experience conducting complex Title 26 investigations and other cases related to violations of the Internal Revenue Code and related financial crimes.
A thorough knowledge of the tools, techniques, and methodologies used by IRS-CI in the investigation of income tax violations and other financial crimes under its jurisdiction.
Strong communications and mentoring skills and the ability to impart knowledge and provide guidance and instruction in an efficient and effective manner.
Administrative and organizational skills necessary to verify and document the achievements of new Special Agents as they progress through a structured training program.
