Genesis10 is seeking a Lead User Experience Designer for a leading company in Cleveland, OH. This is a direct hire, W2 position. Our client is seeking experience with Figma as well as B2B experience.Local:

Local candidates will be onsite once every other week or up to 2x per week at most.Out of town:

Travel: 20-30% for research and meetings.Job Description:The Global Color team has created several digital tools allowing our B2B automotive refinish and industrial users access to client products. As the Lead User Experience Designer on the team, you will have the opportunity to solve complex problems with diverse cross-functional teams. You will make it easier to find, mix, and paint the right color faster. You will refine administrative processes so sales and support can increase efficiencies to service more customers. If you are captivated by all aspects of "color", you will have an opportunity to deliver simple, delightful end-to-end solutions in collaboration with like-minded designers, researchers, product and development partners.As a creative thought leader of the Enterprise User Experience Team, you will participate in strategic cross-program conversations to ensure customer-centered, consistent design decisions are made. You will also foster UX maturity improvements via coaching and mentoring teammates. The incumbent will have the opportunity to create impactful experiences through curiosity, compassion and collaboration.Job Duties:Collaborate with business partners to understand needs and define requirements for websites and software applications.Oversee usability and design research for each project using techniques like usability studies, competitive analysis, user interviews, etc. to understand usage problems.Define and support UX strategy and process definition within the company.Act as "go to" with in-depth knowledge of user interface best practices and standards. Use research-related services, theories and methods to support your recommendations.Stay current on emerging industry trends and the competitive landscape to provide insight on ways to improve usability and website functionality.Significantly influence (and sometimes drive) product strategy, direction and priorities.Develop expert-level knowledge of competitive and complementary products and bring new ideas to the team.Communicate concepts using a variety of methods (i.e., wireframes, mockups, prototypes) in order to help stakeholders envision proposed designs.Act as the user-advocate during the development process, subjecting early-stage designs to usability testing or expert review, and offering implementation suggestions from a user-centered perspective.Develop an effective and efficient information architecture.Establish and maintain UI consistency across designed systems.Drive the development and growth of UX standards.Translate business and user needs into usable, compelling, and technically sound interactive solutions, utilizing multiple technologies.Lead the collection and analyzation of user behavior through in-person usability testing, remote usability testing, click-stream analytics, journey maps, surveys, card sorts, field studies, etc.Utilize a flexible approach to changing priorities in an Agile work environment.Support development team through lifecycle of design implementation.Collaborate with marketing, product, engineering and customer support on the implementation and support of design solutions.Mentor and coach UX team members and/or Professional Apprentices.Schedule and lead project and communication meetings with clients.Conduct research into new technologies, including tools, components, and frameworks.Train and knowledge share with UX and development teams.Project and task management and reporting as necessary.Make presentations to management, clients, and peer groups as requested.Assist with other projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.Provide input to manager on the UX team evolution & growth strategy.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) or in lieu of a degree, at least 12 years in experience in the field of Information Technology or Business (work experience or a combination of education and work experience in the field of Information Technology or Business).8+ years IT and/or Business experience.5+ years of UX experience.5+ years of experience designing usable interfaces for the web using a variety of methods (i.e., wireframes, mockups, prototypes).3+ years in a senior level UX position.Experience conducting usability research.In-depth understanding of responsive web design concepts and mobile applications.Portfolio demonstrating breadth and creativity and proven experience building UI models, generating wireframes, developing prototypes and delivering comprehensive specifications.
