What You Will Do

Johnson Controls has an exciting opportunity for a Lead UX Product Designer located in Westford, MA. This is a hybrid position and would require you to be onsite 3 days a week. You will have the chance to lead our UX design efforts for access control and video solutions, as well as collaborate with global teams!

How You Will Do It

Lead our user feedback and research effortsLeverage metrics, optimization, qualitative and quantitative research to inform and validate design decisionsConduct and deliver key insights based on UX research and dataEngage in benchmarking to evaluate how we compare to our competitorsManage and acquire UX resources and toolsUtilize research data to enhance the design and user experience of our offeringsIdentify users and create personasIdentify user needs and evaluate them against the requirementsValidate the design by learning how real users interact with the product (usability testing)What We Look For

Requirement

7+ years’ experience in a similar role where you have led design for a major feature or productLeading/mentoring UX designers and design projectsYou have experience in owning the UX of a digital product from inception through to releaseUser research and analysis to final productLead design workshops with customers and stakeholdersExperience in creating design assets in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XDPreferred

Experience in developing and using design systems to ensure a consistent experience across multiple products and featuresExperience in using flow and visualization tools like Whimsical and Miro to quickly map user flows and processes ahead of creating final designs
