Must have an RN License and PhD Degree. Preferred qualifications: Completion of a post-doctoral program, established program of research, received extramural funding for research, a record of recent publications, and teaching experience at the Graduate level.
Job Summary:
The Professor's responsibility encompasses education, research, and/or service. Demonstrates loyalty to the mission, policies, standards, and regulations of his/her department, school, and the University, and follows the administrative policies set up by the University and the individual school. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
Earned doctorate (or equivalent) from an accredited institution, preferably with a focus in the area of scholarship. Post-doctoral experience (or equivalent) encouraged. Minimum five years of successful teaching experience as Associate Professor with an emphasis in the area of scholarly focus. Functions in a leadership capacity in the area of expertise.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective, and positive manner. Able to read, write legibly, speak in English with professional quality, and use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position, as well as Canvas and Banner. Able to communicate effectively on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens and written documents necessary to the position.

Professional certification, licensure, or registration as appropriate.
