ABOUT THE POSITIONVHB's Wethersfield, CT office has a need for an Environmental Scientist to join our growing Site Investigation & Remediation practice!Responsibilities

Develop and manage effective site investigation and remediation field programsProvide hands-on support during field exploration and testingInterpret and communicate investigation findingsLeverage technology to support data management and visualizationManage and perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site AssessmentsInvestigate any quality problems that lead to project changes and modify project plans as neededEnsure each project complies with federal, state, and local environmental regulationsEstablish and monitor budgets to assess profitabilityWrite technical reports, correspondence, notes, and memorandaSkills and Attributes

Ability to work in field and office settingsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsMotivated and able to problem-solveFamiliarity working in urban environments, managing soil and groundwater on construction sitesFamiliarity with state regulatory programs (Property Transfer, Voluntary Remediation, and Brownfields)Strong knowledge of site assessment/characterization, data analysis, and remediation techniquesQualifications

Bachelor's degree in a Natural Science related field (Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources)Master's Degree preferred3-5 years of professional environmental/remediation consulting experience requiredOSHA 40 hr. HAZWOPER certification and annual refresher certifications requiredWe are VHB!
