Navanti has an immediate need for a Data Scientist to support a DoD client on site. The ideal candidate will have specific expertise with coding in R language.Necessary Qualifications:2+ years of experience with programming languages, including R, Python, or C++Experience working with structured, unstructured, or semi-structured data in support of scientific or economic analysisExperience cleansing data for data science applicationsExperience programming/coding mathematical modelsKnowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, testing, and version controlExperience with data visualization tools and best practicesAbility to quickly learn new skillsets to solve challenging problemsAbility to prioritize multiple work tasks, deliver products on time, within, and to quality standardsIdeal Qualifications:Experience supporting Special Operations or DoD organizationsExperience processing (NLP)Experience designing, developing, or leveraging relational databases (RDBMS) such as PostgreSQL or MS SQLExperience with web development frameworks, including Shiny, Django, or FlaskExperience with data lakes, data warehouses, or data lake housesExperience with cloud services, including AWS or AzureExperience working in an Agile development environment collaborating with Application Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, and stakeholdersExperience with CI/CD, including Git, Jenkins, and DockerExperience using and deploying machine learning algorithms, including natural language processingEducation:Minimum of a BA/BS in related area of studyClearance:Active DoD TS/SCI clearance required
