Job DutiesThe Office of Disciplinary Counsel seeks to hire an inspired, positive, and collaborative litigator for the position of Assistant Disciplinary Counsel. The candidate must have a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school, be admitted and in good standing in Ohio or another state,* and have practiced law for a minimum of five years. The ideal candidate will possess a strong and proven courtroom presence, a commitment to the highest ethical standards, and the desire to join a dedicated and collaborative team of professionals. This position reports directly to the Disciplinary Counsel.

What you'll do:Investigate and prosecute lawyers, judges, and magistrates accused of ethical misconduct, and individuals alleged to have engaged in the unauthorized practice of law.Manage an active caseload, represent Disciplinary Counsel in hearings before the Board of Professional Conduct and Board on the Unauthorized Practice of Law, and argue objections before the Supreme Court of Ohio.Assist in educating the bench and bar through CLE presentations, training sessions, and other outreach initiatives.Travel throughout the state as required. The outside practice of law is prohibited.
