The Department - Administrative Services Credential (ASC) ProgramWe are seeking a faculty member to join our dynamic, equity-driven educational leadership preparation program.

Duties of the PositionThe primary duties of the successful candidate include:Teach courses and collaborate with colleagues in the Administrative Services Credential ProgramIncorporate culturally sustaining practices as they relate to leadership in schools and communitiesDevelop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholdersMaintain current knowledge of local, state, and national trends, issues, innovations, reform efforts, and credentialing requirementsSupervise and coach prospective school administrators and internsParticipate in academic advising; program design, assessment, accreditation; and related academic and community service

Professional QualificationsTo be recommended for appointment, the candidate must have:RequiredAn earned MA, Ph.D. or Ed.D. from an accredited university in education or a related field, with a focus on Educational LeadershipThree years of documented successful experience working as a school or district administratorBroad and deep knowledge of current theory, equity and social justice issues, and current practices related to educational leadershipKnowledge and skills to collaborate effectively with local schools and other agenciesLeadership experience and expertise in addressing the needs of children and families from diverse linguistic, cultural, and economic backgroundsExpertise and theoretical knowledge in one or more of the following areas: organizational theory, school reform, curriculum and learning theory, and/or educational administrationDesirableExperience in mentoring school administrators in pre-service and in-service programsUniversity level teaching/service experience, which may include university service work, program/curriculum development, program assessment & accreditationBilingual Spanish (Oral and Written)

Rank and SalaryFull-time is a 15-unit workload per semester. Actual salary is dependent upon the number of units assigned, educational preparation, and availability of funds subject to any CSU system faculty contract salary increases.
