Responsibilities
Data Scientist:
The Data Scientist will formulate and lead guided, multifaceted analytic studies against large volumes of SOCOM data. Data Scientists will perform the following:Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematics and statistical techniques based on the scientific method.Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data.Experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results, and provide previously undiscovered solutions to command data challenges.Lead all data experiments tasked by the SOCOM DST Team OIC.Coordinate with Data Engineers to build data environments providing data identified by Data Analysts, Data Integrators, Knowledge Managers, and Intel Analysts.Technical Skills
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.Expertise in machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data manipulation.Communication Skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about business challenges and how data science can address them.Leadership
Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and mentor a team of data scientists.Clearance Requirements
Must be a US Citizen and have Top Secret Eligibility.Location:
