Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) , a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. From towers to processors, we design, develop, integrate and manage the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, exploitation and analysis for the Intelligence Community, the military services, geographic and functional combatant commands and DoD agencies.SummaryHII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist to utilize available software platforms to develop automated data streams from current databases to new platforms as well as build individualized dashboards to reflect data trends and analysis on specific processes. This person should be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics and committed to transforming data in readable, goal-oriented reports that drive innovation and growth.This role will require in-office work - upon establishing and meeting the needs of the customer remote work and virtual meetings may be an option.What You Will DoDevelop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworksIdentify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasetsEvaluate organizational methods and provide source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents for datasetsManage all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report-building functions of systems.Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting or classificationCreate best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualizationEvaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning dataWork directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships.What We Are Looking For5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualizationTechnical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentationsStrong SQL or Excel skills, with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools.Previous experience with database and model design.Strong programming experience with frameworks to include but not limited to; XML, JavaScript, and ETL.Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages including but not limited to; Excel, SPSS, and SASProficient in using Microsoft 365 applications - Power BI and SharePoint for example.Preferred: Bonus Points For...Previously supported and worked within the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI).Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment.
