The Office of Management Enterprise Services Information Services Division with the State of Oklahoma is seeking a qualified Senior level UI/UX Designer for operations and staff augmentation for projects. This position will also be assigned responsibilities involving web modernization migration projects and supporting the Web Modernization team under the guidance and direction of the Web Modernization manager.General Requirements:

The Senior UI/UX Designer performs graphic design, interface design, web prototyping, user research, creating UX methodologies, content strategies, information architecture, creates interface pattern design systems for projects related to the Web Modernization team. Consults web developers on good design practices and assists them in design reviews. Assists in communicating with agency customers on project related items involving overall design and interfaces of the agency website or applications. Makes decisions and troubleshoots on moderate to senior level issues regarding front-end design, multi-media and graphic design.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Strong verbal, customer support skills.Review and analyze organization’s business needs, confers with users to evaluate requirements, discuss solutions and develop plan of approach, including time estimates.Assist with the preparation of program documentation to support new or enhanced systems and applications.Conduct or coordinate user acceptance, regression and integration testing; make changes and corrections as needed.Participate in structured walk-through and other activities to review applications and provide training and support.Perform ongoing analysis and review of applications systems and programs.Develop process design alternatives for major portions of applications being analyzed.Design output formats and user formats as dictated by user specification and established procedure to ensure ease of use and functionality.Identify user interface problems and develop appropriate solutions.Produce UX deliverables related to the assigned projects, perform analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and maintenance of applications and procedures to solve complex business problems.Create and maintain design pattern library/system that are in line with State branding efforts.Define navigation, interfaces and layouts that are focused on user needs.Produce original wireframes, user flows, and prototypes consistent with the state of Oklahoma vision.Produce interfaces for different types of screens/user end experiences on different devices (e.g., tablet, mobile, multi-browsers).Perform usability testing and user research.Capture target audience feedback and incorporate it into new designs and future iterations.Design page layouts, visual elements and patterns, and select appropriate typography to create an elegant web interface.Collaborate with visual artists.Work with developers to solve complex user interaction issues.Work with the web developers and accessibility specialists to ensure that tools, both internal and external, are Section 508 compliant and meet basic accessibility requirements.Use expert knowledge of competitive marketplace and industry trends to create professional, compelling, and user-centered project proposals that align with the state of Oklahoma objectives and brand.Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to discuss ideas for layout, organization and functionality of digital products.Help lead the development of the state’s UI/UX design practice.Translate client and user needs/requirements into relevant, simple and intuitive UI experiences.Conduct usability testing of websites, tools and applications.Create sitemaps, user flows, wireframes and other tools to communicate information architecture.Document project design methodology.Develop simple interactive prototypes.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information System or a related field.15 years experience in multimedia design.10 years experience working with digital design pattern systems.10 years experience in User Experience field.About OMES
