Contract attorney. Hourly basis to file a few commercial collections cases in Lincoln and Omaha, direct assistance with companies, and in-house counsel in California.

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Contract Attorney to provide legal assistance to our in-house legal counsel. The primary responsibilities of this position will involve filing commercial collections cases in Omaha. The Contract Attorney will also directly assist companies and in-house counsel in California. This is a contract position based on an hourly basis.

ResponsibilitiesConduct legal research and analysis to support commercial collections cases in Omaha, NE.Draft and review legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.File necessary legal documents with the appropriate courts and agencies.Represent the company in court proceedings and hearings related to commercial collections cases.Collaborate with in-house counsel to develop legal strategies and provide assistance with legal matters.Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure effective case management.Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents pertaining to Nebraska and California commercial collections.Provide legal advice and guidance to in-house counsel and company executives regarding contract-related issues.RequirementsStrong knowledge of contract law and civil litigation procedures.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and efficiently manage caseload.Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with California contract law is a plus.Availability to work on a contract and handle flexible work hours as needed.Application ProcessTo apply, please submit your resume and cover letter.
