The Foreclosure Attorney position will provide our new hire with a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day bustle of a prestigious legal group’s Foreclosure Department. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of experience practicing law, preferably, but not necessarily in foreclosure, the ability to organize and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines, exhibit meticulous attention to detail, produce accurate and high-quality work product in a fast-paced volume-based environment. The candidate must be able to work independently and possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills. Newly barred attorneys are welcome to apply.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Manage portfolio of loans during the pendency of the lawsuitDraft and review pleadings and correspondence during the pendency of a foreclosure actionAttend court hearings and communicate with opposing counselExercise a high degree of confidentiality and professionalismSafeguard compliance with local, state, and federal foreclosure, bankruptcy, and collections requirements, as applicable

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bar Membership in North CarolinaIntermediate to advanced-level computer and general office skills; strong interpersonal skillsAbility to effectively communicate through both verbal and written electronic correspondenceDemonstrate an excellent ability to analyze corrective action opportunities and present recommendationsMeticulous analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently

Required Education and Training:

Superior organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and efficiencyBasic principles of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control strongly preferred1 year of experience practicing law, preferably, but not necessarily in foreclosure
