Responsibilities:Lead the long-term relationship with large, key customers while achieving a sales budget with assigned account customers.Exhibit excellent communication skills with assigned customers, division management teams, and senior management of McLane Company.Achieve incremental growth with assigned customers and grow profitability by identifying additional business opportunities.Share responsibility with the Account Representative in follow-up and execution of current service offerings, accounts receivable issues, business reviews, and new category or item presentations.Develop strong relationships with executive level customer management.

Essential Job Functions:Manage multiple key accounts that are large and complex in scope.Develop sales budget and forecasts for assigned accounts.Prepare and present presentations for assigned accounts.Meet, in person, with key executives of assigned accounts to resolve issues.Work with the customer’s field organization to develop open lines of communication.Monitor compliance with specific service agreements of assigned accounts.Hold regular communications with division(s) servicing assigned accounts.Interface with corporate and division purchasing departments.Review account profitability to ensure targets are met.Work with vendors and manufacturers to maximize profits.Attend trade shows with assigned accounts.Develop strong relationships with key customers.Lead and motivate a team of direct reports.Forecast and achieve sales budget in assigned accounts.

Minimum Skills and Qualification Requirements:Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 6 years of industry-related sales or experience.Knowledge of all aspects of McLane Company and the industry.Experience managing and leading teams.Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience communicating with various levels of customers.Ability to travel extensively.Strong analytical and communication skills.Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Working Conditions:Primarily in an office, vehicle, or customer store.This position has official supervisory responsibilities.
