Senior Account Executive, Distributed Energy Resources (Hybrid)

Manages, delivers, and improves the customer experience for customers, applicants, installers, regulators, and other internal and external stakeholders engaged in the interconnection, metering, and compensation of Distributed Energy Resources to the Electrical Distribution System.Engages and communicates with customers and applicants to build positive customer relationships for DER (Distributed Energy Resources) projects. Makes suggestions and implements change to improve the customer experience. Resolves or escalates questions and disputes with customers.Manages the customer experience and interconnection process from pre-application through initial operation. Interfaces with multiple internal Eversource departments, customers, developers, and other stakeholders. Improves the DER customer experience as the metering and meter data subject matter expert for all DER metering policies, procedures, processes, and communications.Essential Functions

Strategic Planning – Participate in strategic planning teams to provide ideas and perspectives to improve operational processes, while ensuring Eversource’s franchise rights are protected.Company Goals – Participates in support and ensuring Company environmental and safety goals and Company initiatives and Goals are met or exceeded.Analyze Customer Needs – Analyze Customer needs to ensure a superior Customer experience. Gathers information; probes and diagnoses customer service or equipment potential problems or issues related to Interconnecting to the Eversource Infrastructure.Customer Relationship Management – Develops strong customer relationships that allow the Company to provide superior customer service and achieve key activities, initiatives, and goals regarding Distributed Generation.Customer Service – Provides input with the development of customer service plans and resolves customer service issues such as: installation of new or upgraded utility service for distributed generation, billing related issues and general customer inquiries.One Stop Customer Resolution – Prepares and presents options and solutions to customer. Arranges for the implementation of customer solutions and follow-up; provides technical assistance as needed.Project Manager – Records, reviews, and decides on initial DG application regarding completeness. Delivers messaging and correspondence to customer in a timely fashion regarding status of project. Coordinate application delivery to internal stakeholders. Provides internal and external Project Management to ensure target dates are met. Coordinates, schedules, and leads project meetings. Coordinates, schedules, and leads DG Witness Tests.Corporate Positioning – Assist with the development and implementation of operating plans for achieving corporate objectives with the smaller strategic customer base such as: changes in regulations, changes in rates, developing customer support for merger activities or other Company initiatives, customer education and promoting the United Way.Sales – Retains and grows distribution revenue (electric), promotes value added services and products and distributed generation programs. Understands and promotes rates and incentive programs.Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

Reviews standard DER applications and approves customer-requested exceptions to standard metering configurations.Conducts internal and external education and outreach on DER interconnection and metering.Participates in regulatory/policy strategy meetings and preparation of testimony.Suggests new standards and processes to improve the customer DER interconnection and incentive participation experience without compromising safety, reliability, or meter data accuracy.Clearly communicates with customers, electricians, and other stakeholders on metering requirements.Familiar with metering equipment, policies, procedures, and systems.Oversees the complex and detailed interactions required throughout the DER policy and interconnection process between DER customers, applicants, electricians, municipal inspectors and multiple internal departments such as engineering, procurement, standards, DER planning, billing, incentive compensation.Knowledge of DER customer rates and billing policies and procedures and how that starts with proper and valid metering and meter data.Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent experience.Experience:

10 years utility metering experience required along with strong Project Management and Customer skills.Compensation and Benefits:
