supports the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (AFRCO), the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition Special Programs Division (SAF/AQL), and US Air Force combat and sustainment activities. The

IT Specialist II

will be responsible for ensuring all deliverables meet schedule and quality standards.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain network and standalone servers, workstations, and network accessAnalyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performancePrepare the system for operational use and support operational testsRemediate AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures as directedEnsure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of by security policies and practicesPerform VTC System administration, scheduling, and configuration as neededProvide networks with direct client supportPerform account creations, modifications, and deletionsProvide direct multi-level help desk support and troubleshooting of hardware and softwarePerform hardware and software system configuration, upgrades, and modificationsProvide desktop and laptop configuration and supportEnsure systems are compliant with the appropriate IA controlsContinuous monitoringOther duties as assigned.

QualificationsBachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree with 5+ years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than 1 year of experience in an SAP and/or SCI environment within the past 5 yearsMust meet position and certification requirements outlined in DoD Directive 8570.01-M for Information Assurance Technician Level 1 or 2Special Access Program (SAP) experience. Experience in similar types of programs may be used instead of SAP experience, contingent upon customer approval.Active and valid driver’s licenseExperience remediating vulnerabilitiesActive TS/SCI clearanceKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Operational knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2008/2012/2016 server, Microsoft Exchange server 2010/2013/2016, and Microsoft Windows 7/10 operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardwareWorking knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies, including communication security (COMSEC) integrationMust have the ability to work in a dynamic environment and effectively interact with numerous DoD, military, civilian, and contractor personnel and industry partnersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) productivity softwarePossess a high degree of originality, creativity, and initiative requiring minimal supervisionAbility to work under aggressive schedules with demanding performance requirementsAbility to travel CONUS and OCONUSAbility to complete a government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly)
