Responsible for assisting all departments to resolve legal and non-legal issues.Performs legal research and analysis to provide legal counseling.Provides advice regarding various legal issues related to all areas of Onni’s business, including to C-Suite executives.Negotiates, drafts, revises, and updates various contracts for construction and property management.Develops, reviews, and revises internal contract templates.Communicates with Onni personnel and third parties regarding all legal matters.Performs general research to locate and summarize information.Manages litigation portfolio; instructs and coordinates with outside counsel and Onni personnel regarding claims; provides status reports; manages deadlines, reviews and approves invoices.Reviews and manages construction Preliminary Notices and Mechanic’s Liens.Locates and summarizes large volumes of information, documents, and correspondence.Corresponds with opposing counsel to resolve disputes, avoid litigation, or minimize exposure.Independently manages and updates Onni’s internal database to track claims.What You Will Bring
A Juris Doctor from an ABA-approved law school.A valid State Bar of California law license.3-7 years of experience as an attorney.A State Bar License in Washington and/or Illinois is a bonus.Litigation experience in California and federal courts is highly desired.Experience with landlord/tenant and real estate law is preferred.Experience with construction law is preferred.Excellent research and writing skills.A fast learner who is able to solve problems with little supervision.Pays close attention to detail with a strong ability to proofread.Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set daily priorities.Strong computer skills with the ability to adapt to new technology and software.Strong abilities with functions of MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and PDF software.Ability to organize, track, and prioritize several tasks and remind others of outstanding items.Follow through with completing assigned tasks without being reminded.A self-starter who is able to handle a large workload, complete tasks within a short time period, and has determination to ensure deadlines and objectives are reached consistently.Energetic and a positive attitude, can handle challenges, and enjoys learning.About The Company
