Physical Therapist, Per Diem

This is a per diem role.Under supervision, incumbents perform the duties of an operational level physical therapist. The Per Diem Physical Therapist reports to the Clinical Supervisor, Physical Therapy and provides both direct and indirect patient care services. The Per Diem P.T. works primarily with adult and geriatric patients from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. The Per Diem P.T. with specific pediatric competencies may also work with infants, children and/or adolescents.Department Description: The mission of the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science is to provide evidence-based, patient-centered physical therapy services for the community, and to educate scholarly, socially sensitive clinicians, educators, and researchers in physical therapy and rehabilitation science who will lead the profession into the next century.Required Qualifications

Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writingAbility to recognize signs of distressBasic computer skills in word processing and online communicationPossession of good interpersonal, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skillsThis position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locationsLicensure as a Physical Therapist with the California State Board of Medical Quality AssurancePossession of or proven eligibility for CPR certificationPreferred Qualifications

Minimum of one year outpatient patient care experiencePrior physical therapy experience in an academic medical center environment.Prior experience working with an interdisciplinary health provider team.Possession of a degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited professional educational program.Possession of a Board Certification from the APTA.Prior EMR documentation experience.License/Certification

Licensure as a Physical Therapist with the California State Board of Medical Quality AssurancePossession of or proven eligibility for CPR certificationAbout UCSF
