Synopsys is looking for an exceptional Ethics & Compliance attorney. This role will join the Legal Department’s growing Ethics & Compliance Team and will report to the Deputy Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer. We’re seeking a seasoned compliance attorney with sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, and a pragmatic mindset.Responsibilities

Conduct a broad range of internal investigations related to potential violations of company policy and/or law.Partner cross-functionally to drive programmatic improvements to our global ethics and compliance program, including enhancements to policies, procedures, controls, and monitoring.Drive the continued development of a best-in-class Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption (ABAC) program to address risks arising under the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other global ABAC laws, rules, and regulations.Leverage data and analytics for ABAC KPIs and KRIs, and advise on opportunities for programmatic enhancements.Develop and launch tailored micro-burst trainings to target key risks.Advise on global competition law considerations.Monitor changes in compliance-related laws, regulations, and government enforcement initiatives.Requirements

J.D. from an accredited law school, admission to a state bar, and active license to practice law.10+ years of compliance and risk management experience, with in-house experience.In-depth knowledge of the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and other global ABAC requirements and government expectations.Experience navigating global competition laws, rules, and regulations.Experience conducting global internal investigations and responding to governmental inquiries.Experience developing and managing ABAC programs, including developing policies, procedures, and training materials.Experience conducting electronic reviews using e-discovery platforms.Ability to understand complex issues, assess risk, and provide concise legal advice.Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders over multiple geographical locations.At Synopsys, we’re at the heart of the innovations that change the way we work and play. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
