FVP, Relationship ManagerLos Angeles, CA, USAReq #2309Tuesday, July 2, 2024GENERAL SUMMARYRelationship Manager ("RM") is able to handle both (i) client-facing business development responsibilities as well as (ii) portfolio management responsibilities. This position's function is to identify and bring new loan clients and manage an existing portfolio assigned to them.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIdentify and bring new clients to the Bank, with specific new loan commitment goals set by their Team Manager every year.Negotiate and structure the primary terms of the loan with the client.Work with designated underwriter, loan assistants, and other loan support staff to prepare the Credit Commitment Report ("CCR") for new loans, renewals, amendments, and annual reviews.Present each CCR to the requisite approval authority levels.Review loan documents to ensure accuracy.Manage the client experience during the loan closing process.Monitor and manage the credit quality of the assigned loan portfolio.Ensure compliance with Bank, regulatory, and credit requirements.Assist with mentoring and coaching junior officers and loan staff.QUALIFICATIONSEducation:U.S. College graduate with a major in related fields.Experience:7-10 years of commercial lending and banking experience.Strong loan negotiation experience.Previous underwriting experience in commercial lending.Skills/Ability:Extensive knowledge of Bank's credit policy, risk management, and loan servicing.Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and services.PC proficient with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Bilingual (English/Mandarin or Cantonese) a plus.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-production team environment.OTHER DETAILS$130K - $190K / year.
