This team provides audit services, Review and compilation services and other agreed upon audit procedures to a variety of client sizes and industries.The Financial Services Audit Senior Associate role will be based out of our Whippany, Red Bank, East Brunswick NJ offices or our New York, NY location. Leading the engagement team staff on the planning and execution of an audit, review or compilation engagement to effectively and efficiently provide world-class client serviceOverseeing the day-to-day operations of the audit engagement from staffing, planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, financial reporting and the conclusionConducting constructive discussions with staff on their evaluations and providing counsel accordinglySupervising day-to-day engagement teams on financial services engagements, which include hedge funds, private equity funds, investment managers and broker dealersTraining and development of audit team membersResearching and applying specialized industry knowledge and accounting principlesIdentifying potential improvements to client service and audit processAssisting with billing and collectionsServing in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leaderThe Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of the Following:

2-5 years prior experience working in the audit department of a public accounting firmA Bachelor's degree in AccountingA CPA license is preferredStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively with all levels of staff, both independently and as part of a team, requiredMust have experience in the financial services industryThe compensation for this position will vary by location.
